How does your blog look inside a blog reader?

Posted at: 4/4/2009 at 3:35 PM by saravana
I think its important the blog authors subscribe to their own blog to see how it looks inside a blog reader. If your blog looks like this inside a reader, then you are most likely throwing away some of your readers. Having a "read more" link at the end and only giving snippet of source in your feed is well and good for high volume feeds like bbc news, msdn articles, google news, etc where its more likely you'll get tons of articles every few hours. But for a personal blog, with maximum 1 or 2 ... [More]

Print Screen on MacBook - BootCamp

Posted at: 8/11/2008 at 11:40 AM by saravana
I became a full time user of MacBook running Windows Vista using BootCamp (Version 2.0) for a while now. One of the issue I came across recently is trying to find out the equivalent of "print screen" Key, I don't need to emphasis on the importance of this. According to the document, its just F11 for print screen and "Option-F11" for active window.   There are couple of issues: 1. F11 is a volume control key by default and you need to press Fn ... Any recommendation for Windows 2003-ASP .NET hosting?

Posted at: 6/30/2008 at 11:00 AM by saravana
Hi All, In the past few months I been hit with so many technical problems running biztalk 24 * 7.com. I'm currently with 1and1 for my hosting, I been with them for past few years now. Everything is well and good until you hit a problem, but once you got some you are in real trouble. In my past few months experience I never got a single issue solved by their technical team (this is just my experience). At last I decided to take the plunge and move to a different hosting comp... If in case you haven't come across, there is a separate forum to post questions related to BizTalk Server 2006 R2.  The forum is categorized into following sections: BizTalk R2 General (General BizTalk R2 discussions.) BizTalk R2 Adapters and Adapter Pack (All questions related to LOB and WCF Adapters, R2 Adapter Pack, and other related topics in R2.) BizTalk EDI and AS2 (All questi... [More]

It's time for Training and Holiday

Posted at: 3/8/2007 at 7:35 AM by saravana
I'm taking my family (my wife Gowri and our little son, 3 months old Aryaa) for a long 4.5 weeks holiday in India. For the first time I'm going to test out some training in India. I booked myself for .NET 2.0 distributed apps training bootcamp, an intencive 10 day training program (6 days a week and 10 hours a day).  After moving to UK 7 years ago, this is the first time I'm doing a proper training in India. I'll try to post some updates on how the course is progressi... [More]

IntelliSense for SQL Queries on Query Analyser, VS 2003, SQL 2005 Management Studio + few more

Posted at: 5/23/2006 at 11:39 AM by saravana
One of the feature I anticipated in SQL 2005 management studio was some kind of Intellisense when you type the queries. But, surprisingly there was no support for it. Red Gate software came with a very cleaner solution, a single application which supports SQL intellisense on QueryAnalyser, Enterprise manager, Management Studio, VS 2003, VS 2005, UltraEdit and Editplus2. My favorite feature is SQL Snippet, similar to VS 2005 code snippet concept. Just type “SSFâ&eu... [More]

Windows 2003/XP Laptop /LCD screen users

Posted at: 4/2/2005 at 1:55 PM by saravana
Have you heard of ClearType? ClearType is a font smoothing technology build on XP/2003. I been using Windows 2003 for a while now in my laptop, but haven't used this feature till I came across a post by accident when I was looking for some Biztalk Resources. Follow this simple steps and I'm sure you'll be so delighted to see your screen after this. Right click on the desktop and go to Properties Click the Appearance tab Click the Effects button Select ClearType in the dro... [More]
